Stronger After A Few Sessions - 5 Star Stoked on the Surfinshape Model W!

This is what I've been looking to experience for quite some time. It's hard learning to paddle in the ocean as a first time surfer as the fatigue from the ocean can set in quickly if you're not used to it, and I don't want to be fatigued out there. After a few laps in my pool I started getting the hang of it and have begun incorporating it into my daily exercise regime already. I can already feel my paddle becoming stronger after only a couple of days which is exciting. It's also been really good for my core and learning to balance on the board as I paddle. It's also surprisingly well made and it has quite a glide to it once you get the hang of it. The volume is perfect as I'm learning on a longboard (9') and it feels just right! Overall I'm 5-star stoked on the Surfinshape and even more so with the people behind the company, they actually care :)

Landlocked Surfer wanting to paddle like a machine again

Being a landlocked older surfer and wanting to surf when I travel, I needed to get my distance back up. Couple years back, went to Kauai and got my ass handed to me on a medium day. I just didn't have the power and speed to get around in the zone like I should have. Bought the W model, being over 200 lbs, and started doing some pool laps. It is exactly the feel and body position, quickly gave me the workout I needed. Sitting on it requires the same core muscles tension and it also provides a very real duck dive response. Being a big guy I used to surf on a thin rounded pin 9'2" big wave longboard in the winter and could duck dive big set waves on it, a skill that I need to have on tap as my goal is to surf Fiji in 2021. Now that the pools are opening back up I look forward to several months of surf training and getting those duck dives back. Love the board Thanks!

You don't have to give IT up when you move off the beach!

For years, because I moved north and off the beach, I would plan an annual surfing adventure. I learned that if you don't have a "paddle motor" it was not that much fun as it could be. I would train in our local river with my board but the "SurfinShape" has brought it to a whole different level. I can paddle work all year long in our local pool and it sure opens up surfing for me when I actually get in the water and besides, a strong work-out as well.

Training with My New W, I Get That Golden Rush and Zen-Like Happiness That Only Comes From Surfing

I've gone for two days now and I just love it for multiple reasons. First, I took to swimming as a means to try and imitate the surfer's high, but to no avail. Don't get me wrong: swimming is a great, full-body workout. But I never was a swimmer and it just didn't give me the same rush as surfing did--or even just paddling out on a less-than-stellar day. I had the deep powder days to tide me over--and we've had some great seasons in Utah recently. My Rossignol Sushi let me feel like I was ripping down the face of an endless wave. But winter only lasts so long. Getting the Surfinshape was the best decision I've ever made. It's small enough to take to and from my local lap pool. And there is something irreplaceable about the feeling of being on a board. No swimming exercise mimicked it and I tried everything: kickboards, floating devices between the legs. But paddling on a board is such a different experience and movement. The muscle isolation just can't be replicated like it is with the Surfinshape. After about an hour (which flies by), I'm exhausted. I get that golden rush and zen-like happiness that only comes from surfing. It's become my new addiction. Regardless if I have a trip coming up or not, this thing is my release! I want to do it every day!

After Training with Surfinshape, I Out Paddled My Kids and Had the Best Surf Experience of My Life

I bought my board in February and after three months of two day a week workouts in the local pool we went on our Costa Rica surf trip. The results were amazing. Not once was I hindered by tired arms as I have been in past years. My kids said  I was a paddling beast! Well, as beastly as a 62 year old can be. I out paddled them and had the best surf experience of my life. Pretty remarkable for an old guy trapped in Utah. Thanks for this amazing product. Every land bound surfer taking surf trips should have one and be using it in prep for their next surf adventure. I’m sure it will make a huge difference. It did for me.
